TRACER UNIT

Ok i have already built one of these before... But it was a long drawn out process that took alot of searching to do and it still didnt come out as well as i wanted it to. I can send pics of what i did if you guys would like to see it. Just ask




But I was searching the web, and i saw someone did sort of the same thing i did, but They put there tracer unit inside a magazine. This wouldnt be too hard to do.

One thing ive noticed about doing this though... Is that its very important that the LED you buy for your tracer unit is an ULTRA VIOLET LED.

Ultra violet light is the primary source of light that makes things glow. So if anyone can find like a bulk pacakge of ultra violet LEDS. Please tell me. We could get a bunch, and everyone could make some tracer units out of there stock magazines that come with there guns er something.

In theory, it will work. You need a srouce of power ( X amount of AAAs) in the mag, then a sensor that when the BB passes through a beam of light, the LED flashes, charing the BB.

hmmm. time consuming..but definitly possable. i say use those flat dime sized batt's and just use a lot of them

it's pretty cool, but it doesn't make the bb's bright enough IMO, u could make this and also have an LED in a silencer or something so it would be exposed to more light.
