I would do this, but I'm little short on cash, but here's my idea.
Take a Thompson M1A1, and remove the stock, filling the hole with sheet styrene. Then, to make room for the battery, shorten both the foregrip and the barrel, making it thick enough to fit a mini battery. You should be able to make it up to 44cm shorter, without impairing the performance (much). The only problem I've run into while planning is wiring a V6 gearbox out the front, but there has to be some way to.
Like I said, I would do this if I had another 300$ to spend on another Thompson, but I'm saving for the BAR, so feel free to take my idea.
